The Role
We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Contract Support - Reactive Maintenance professional to join our Asset & Field Services team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys administration, contract coordination, stakeholder engagement and working closely with operational teams to support essential services across our network.
This role plays an important function in supporting the works management and commercial performance assessment process across Reactive Maintenance contracts. You'll provide day-to-day administration support to Contract Managers, assist with financial and contractual performance reviews, support reporting and analysis, and help drive continuous improvement across service delivery.
This role also provides short-term support to cover Contract Manager responsibilities during periods of extended leave as part of succession planning and fatigue management. This position also offers strong development opportunities for someone looking to build a long-term career in contract management.
Your Key Responsibilities
You'll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across multiple priorities and has strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Provide contract administration across Reactive Maintenance contracts
- Review work orders and ensure alignment to contractual requirements and costs
- Support financial reporting, budget performance and monthly variance analysis
- Assist with contract performance reporting and milestone tracking
- Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities across customer service, cost mitigation and operational efficiency
- Support delivery of minor programs and capital works
- Build strong relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders
- Attend site meetings to understand work practices, quality outcomes and customer impacts
- Assist with planning and facilitation of contract management meetings
- Support customer-related issue resolution with Case Management teams
- Provide short-term leave coverage support for Contract Managers where required
What we're Looking for
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Experience supporting contract management activities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Highly Desirable:
- Diploma in Project Management or similar
- Qualification in Business Management, Contract Management or equivalent
- Experience with BI and Maximo systems
