YOUR ROLE
As a valued KEY member in their winning Engineeringteam, (led and headed up by one of Australia’s BEST of the BEST multiple award-winning Patent Attorneys ) you will delight in the challenge+ stimulation+ satisfaction of:
· applying your technical expertise+ commercial acumen in advising/creating strategies to protect+ enforce the patent rights of your blue-chip local/international clients.
Key responsibilities include: 1) interviewing inventors; 2) drafting technical descriptions of inventions/industrial designs+ advising on examination reports;3) interpreting/analyzing specifications/drawings/standards/literature/products+processes using your technical expertise+knowledge; 4) doing+ analyzing searches of inventions/designs; 5) preparing submissions to government patent/design offices to protect your clients’ patents/designs.

WHO YOU ARE
We are interested in hearing from you if you:
- have a minimum 12 months’ post-qualification experience (up to Senior Associate level) as a registered Australian/NZ patent attorney [or are an overseas qualified patent attorney currently nearing qualification in Australia/NZ];
- have a degree or higher qualifications [eg Masters/PHD] in mechanical engineering or similar;
- have strong analytical+ technical skills/knowledge;
- have some hands-on experience in prosecuting/drafting patents [desirable];
- have outstanding communication, time management and people interaction skills;
