Ready to take your Medical Laboratory Scientist career to the next level? Join a busy Central Core Laboratory and build your expertise across routine and specialised Haematology and Coagulation in a dynamic, high-performing laboratory environment. You’ll be trained across a broad range of analysers, investigations and laboratory processes, developing the skills to confidently perform simple through to complex testing, verify and validate results, troubleshoot instrumentation and maintain high standards of scientific and clinical practice.
This is a permanent part-time role for 40hrs per fortnight.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in the performance of Haematology and Coagulation testing and investigations.
- Theoretical knowledge and understanding of Haematology and Coagulation principles and procedures.
- Proven ability to work independently, solve problems and show initiative in the workplace.
- Well-developed communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Understanding of laboratory quality systems and the requirements of NATA accreditation and ISO certification.
- Awareness of the human resource management policies applicable to contemporary workplaces.
- The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the shift roster and will be required to work a combination of day and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday within each fortnight.
