Your Training

Successful cadetship applicants will undertake the required security training through Affirm Training, ACESGroup’s Registered Training Organisation.

The program is designed to help suitable new entrants complete their training and progress towards obtaining their NSW security licence before commencing licensed security work.

Our goal is simple: start your training now, complete the licensing pathway and be ready for NYE.

Could Security Be Right for You?

You don’t need previous security experience.

We’re looking for people who are:





- At least 18 years of age;
- Reliable, professional and willing to learn;
- Confident communicating with people from all walks of life;
- Customer-service focused;
- Comfortable working in busy, highly visible environments;
- Available for Recent Year’s Eve and interested in future opportunities; and
- Able to meet the requirements to obtain a NSW security licence.

IMPORTANT – Check Your Eligibility Before Applying Before applying for the ACESGroup Security Cadetship, you must first check that you are eligible to obtain a NSW security licence.

NSW security licence applicants must meet suitability criteria, including general eligibility requirements and criminal and other related history requirements.

General requirements include being at least 18 years of age, being a fit and proper person, meeting the relevant training and competency requirements and satisfying applicable residency/visa and identity requirements.

If you are not eligible to obtain the required security licence, you will not be able to progress through the cadetship into licensed security work.
