As Section Waitstaff, you're the face of your section — reading tables, setting the pace, and bringing your own style to every guest interaction. You'll run your section with precision through a busy, ever-changing service, working closely with hosts, kitchen, and the rest of the floor to keep everything moving without missing a beat.
Key responsibilities
- Own your section — read each table and adapt on the fly, bringing energy and personality to every interaction
- Guide guests through the menu, specials, and wine or beverage pairings with genuine knowledge and enthusiasm
- Run a seamless service — timing courses, anticipating needs, keeping food and drinks flowing
- Handle guest requests and curveballs with confidence, escalating to the Restaurant Manager only when needed
- Keep your section clean, polished, and guest-ready, even at full pace
- Work closely with hosts, kitchen, and fellow waitstaff to keep the whole floor in sync
- Process orders and payments accurately on the POS, even during peak rushes
About you
- Minimum 1 years' experience as waitstaff or in a similar role in a high-end restaurant
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace
- Excellent communication skills and a natural team player
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
- Friendly and welcoming personality
