Full time For more than 25 years, Sekel Grinberg Judd has advised sophisticated families, high-net-worth individuals and family offices on complex legal, structural and intergenerational matters.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Associate to take a leading role within our Premium Estate Planning & Probate practice, based five days a week in our Circular Quay office.

The Opportunity

Our clients include families of substantial wealth whose affairs may encompass private businesses, significant property portfolios, trusts, corporate structures and assets held across multiple generations and jurisdictions.

You will advise directly on complex and high value matters with scope for the right person to work towards also managing a team of lawyers and senior administrative professionals within the practice.

You will work closely with and report directly to the principal of the firm.

The breadth and sophistication of the work provides an exceptional opportunity for a lawyer seeking to further develop their technical expertise.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include

- Complex estate and succession planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Drafting and preparation of Wills and testamentary trusts
- Family and discretionary trusts
- Working closely with our commercial team on Trust structuring and restructuring, Asset protection and cross- border estate and succession matters.
- Intergenerational wealth and succession strategies
- Complex family and beneficiary arrangements
- Powers of attorney and enduring guardianships
- High-value and complex deceased estates
- Developing and maintaining trusted relationships with clients and their families
- Working closely with leading accountants, financial advisers, family offices and other professional advisers





About You You will be team player. You will be a technically strong Associate or Senior Associate with demonstrated experience in estate planning, probate, trusts and succession.

You will be comfortable advising high-net-worth individuals and families and have the ability to understand not only the legal issues but also the broader commercial, structural and family considerations that arise in sophisticated private client matters.

You will have the maturity, sound judgement and confidence to take ownership of significant matters, lead and develop a team and build trusted and enduring client relationships.

This role would particularly suit a lawyer who is ready to take the next step from being an experienced practitioner into matters of genuine substance.
