Role Description The Senior Associate will work full time on-site at Bannermans Lawyers’ North Sydney, NSW office, providing high-level legal services across strata, construction, and insurance matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a diverse case load, drafting and reviewing complex legal documents, advising clients on dispute resolution strategies, and representing clients in negotiations and relevant tribunals or courts when required. The role involves supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff, contributing to legal precedents and knowledge management, and supporting business development initiatives,
including client presentations and industry events.

Associate will collaborate closely with partners and colleagues to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused outcomes aligned with the firm’s ethical and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Admission as a Lawyer in Australia, with a current practicing certificate and several years of post‑admission experience in strata, property, construction, or insurance law.
- Solid skills in legal research, statutory interpretation, and analytical problem‑solving, with the ability to develop practical, commercial solutions.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing contracts, by‑laws, advices, pleadings, and other complex legal documents with high attention to detail.
- Experience in dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation, and litigation or tribunal work within relevant jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated client relationship skills, including clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and service‑oriented mindset.
- Leadership capabilities, including supervising junior team members, delegating effectively, and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑volume practice.
