Osborne Richardson is proud to once again partner with this vibrant Transport and Main Roads focused stet government agency on the Gold Coast. On this occasion the role is pretty epic and we are searching for a Senior Designer (Civil) to join their design team on a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further 3 years thereafter. A six figure hourly rate is also well within reach for this key role in the team.

This is an autonomous, senior design role sitting within a broader civil design function, and reporting to the Principal Advisor (Design). You will be trusted, however, to run your own components end-to-end, from strategic planning through concept, development and implementation of transport infrastructure design.

What you'll be doing:

- Developing and quantifying transport infrastructure design models across strategic planning, concept, development and implementation phases
- Applying your expertise in 12D and AutoCAD to design intersections, widening, highways and other transport infrastructure
- Managing key components of the planning and design function to deliver projects on time, on budget and to standard
- Reviewing design drawings and documentation prepared by external design consultancies




- Providing technical advice and support on planning and design processes, including corridor planning and program development
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to keep delivery on track
- Escalating issues when required and exercising sound judgement throughout

What you'll bring:

1. A minimum two-year, Dublin Accord accredited engineering degree (e.g. associate degree in engineering (civil)) or recognised equivalence
2. Minimum 5 years' experience using 12D and AutoCAD software
3. A current White Card
4. Demonstrated experience delivering civil designs appropriate for construction
5. A team-oriented, team-first approach balanced with the ability to work autonomously

What's on offer: A very long contract role with a well-established road authority, working on several key transport infrastructure projects that will shape how South East Queensland communities connect. On-site presence is preferred but there will undoubtedly be potential for hybrid working to be offered to the right person.
