Executive Leadership Appointment An exceptional opportunity exists for an accomplished and commercially astute finance executive to join a highly regarded, privately owned Australian Group as its Senior Financial Controller with the opportunity to step into the companies first Chief Financial Officer position in the next 12 to 24 months.

Established for 50 years, the Group has a strong heritage in construction and has experienced significant growth and diversification over recent years. Today, its interests encompass high-end residential and commercial construction, property development, and an extensive commercial and residential property portfolio held across multiple entities .

With a clear five-year growth strategy in place, the appointment of a Senior Finance Executive represents an important next stage in the evolution of the business.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team of which the Senior Financial Controller will be a key member, providing strategic financial leadership and commercial insight across the Group.

With forecast annual turnover of approximately $40 million , this is a broad executive role encompassing Group financial management, construction and project performance, property and development interests, treasury, risk and governance.

The Senior Financial Controller will lead and further develop the finance function, including the appointment of a second Financial Controller, and establish the financial capability,



disciplines and systems required to support the Group's continued growth.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

- Strategic financial and commercial advice to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team
- Group management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Cash-flow, treasury, banking and capital management
- Construction financial performance, including job costing, WIP, project forecasting and margin analysis
- Financial oversight of the Group's property investment and leasing portfolio
- Property development forecasting, feasibility and financial performance
- Group structures, intercompany reporting and consolidated financial oversight
- Commercial contracts, insurance, financial risk and governance including compliance
- Financial systems, controls and continuous improvement
- Management of internal and external stakeholder networks including financiers and consultants
- Leadership and development of the Group finance function and team
- Contribution to strategic planning, investment decisions and the execution of the Group's five-year growth strategy

The Executive We are seeking a highly credible finance leader who combines robust technical capability with commercial judgement and strategic perspective .





The successful candidate will ideally bring senior financial leadership experience within construction, property development, property investment or a similarly project-driven environment , together with demonstrated capability in complex, multi-entity structures.

A strong understanding of construction accounting, job costing, WIP, cash-flow management and project commercial performance will be important. Exposure to property investment, leasing and/or development will be highly regarded.

CA/CPA qualification or equivalent is expected.

Just as importantly, the successful executive will have the interpersonal maturity to operate effectively within a successful privately owned business. They will be confident working closely with owners and senior leaders, capable of providing constructive challenge and independent advice, while remaining pragmatic, collaborative and commercially focused.

This role will suit an established Senior Finance Director, or an exceptional senior finance executive preparing to step into their first CFO appointment.
