Job Title – Senior Full Stack Java Engineer (Banking)

Job Location – Sydney

Experience – 8+ Years

Employment Type – Contractual

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Engineer with strong banking domain experience to deliver enterprise-grade applications, data solutions, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
- Build responsive front-end applications using Angular/React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Design data models, data flows, pipelines,



and integration solutions.
- Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and processing workflows.
- Ensure application performance, security, scalability, data quality, and integrity.
- Collaborate with architects, BAs, Product Owners, and business stakeholders on solution design.
- Contribute to Agile delivery, architecture reviews, TDD, and CI/CD practices.

Mandatory Skills

- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices, REST APIs.
- Strong SQL, database design, and conceptual/logical/physical data modelling.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.
- Front-end experience with Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3.
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and API integration.
- Proven experience delivering technology solutions in Banking, including Retail, Commercial, Institutional, Digital Banking, Payments, Lending, Risk/Compliance, or Financial Markets.

Preferred / Positive to Have

- Treasury, Liquidity Management, Cash Management, Trading Systems, Market Data, or Treasury Risk experience.
- Kafka, Apache Spark, Data Lakes, ETL, MDM, and event-streaming platforms.
