Talent Mode’s top tier ICT consultancy client is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 and Azure Engineer to support large scale and complex remote access

Contract or permanent engagement considered

Valid NV1 Clearance or higher essential

Canberra preferred but Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane also considered

You’ll manage and optimise M365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams), administer ID identity controls, support Azure resources, maintain security baselines, resolve L2/L3 incidents, and ensure compliance across regulated environments. Robust experience with licensing, access governance, automation (PowerShell), and tenant‑level configuration is essential.

Required Technical Skills and background

Microsoft 365 Platform – Strong experience administering Exchange, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, tenant configuration,



and licensing across enterprise environments.

Identity & Access Management – Hands‑on capability with Entra ID (users, groups, roles), Conditional Access, MFA, and privileged access governance.

Azure – Solid background managing subscriptions, resources, RBAC, identity integration, and core Azure services supporting M365 workloads.

Security & Compliance – Ability to implement and maintain security controls, data protection measures, monitoring, and compliance activities in regulated environments.

Operations & Engineering – Skilled in L2/L3 support, change/incident/problem management, documentation discipline, and PowerShell automation.
