Norco Co-operative

Coffs Harbour

For more than 130 years, Norco has been proudly farmer-owned and Australian-owned. What began as a small dairy co-operative has grown into a diverse regional business spanning dairy manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, rural retail and corporate services. While our business has evolved, our commitment to supporting our farmer members, our people and the communities in which we operate remains at the heart of who we are.

Our values of Authenticity, Connection, Agility and Diversity guide how we work together, how we make decisions and how we support our people. We care about doing the right thing, taking ownership, working together and building a business our people and farmer members can be proud of.

We are now looking for an experienced People & Culture Advisor who is ready to take the next step into a more senior, independent role as our Senior People & Culture Advisor, DairyFoods, based at our Raleigh (NSW) production and manufacturing site.

Why this opportunity is different

This is a genuine opportunity to step beyond a traditional HR Advisor role and take ownership of a diverse operational portfolio.

As the primary site-based People & Culture contact for DairyFoods, you will work closely with the DairyFoods P&C; Business Partner, leaders, managers and employees to understand the realities of a busy production environment and provide practical, responsive and people-centred advice.

You will be visible and accessible across the site, building trusted relationships and helping leaders navigate everything from everyday people matters through to more complex employee and industrial relations issues.

While the role is based at Raleigh and requires a high level of autonomy, you will also be an important member of the broader Norco People & Culture team. You will remain connected through regular collaboration, shared projects, team discussions and time with colleagues at our Labrador office.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to operations but also values being part of a supportive, experienced and collaborative People & Culture team.

What you will be doing

While DairyFoods will be the primary portfolio, the role may also provide People & Culture support to other areas of the business from time to time.

As the Senior People & Culture Advisor for our DairyFoods portfolio, you will:

- Build solid relationships with site leaders, managers, supervisors and employees.
- Provide practical and timely advice across employee and industrial relations.
- Support performance, conduct, attendance, grievance and workplace investigation matters.
- Coach leaders to make fair,

consistent and values-aligned people decisions.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, probation and employee development.
- Contribute to consultation and change processes, including redeployment, role redesign and workforce change.
- Help leaders turn engagement feedback into meaningful actions that strengthen communication, culture, inclusion and wellbeing.
- Maintain explicit and accurate HR documentation, case notes and employee records.
- Work closely with Payroll, Finance, Workplace Health and Safety, injury management and return-to-work colleagues.
- Contribute to broader Norco People & Culture projects, policies, workforce reporting and employee initiatives.

You will be trusted to manage matters independently within your experience and authority while knowing that support, guidance and escalation pathways are always available through the Business Partner and broader People & Culture team.

About you

You may already be working as an experienced HR Advisor, HR Generalist or emerging Senior HR Advisor and feel ready to take greater ownership of a business portfolio. You enjoy spending time with the people you support, understanding how the business operates and finding solutions that are fair, practical and workable. You are confident enough to provide clear advice, but grounded enough to listen, ask questions and know when to seek support.

You will ideally bring

- Approximately four to six years or more of generalist HR experience.
- Experience supporting an operational, manufacturing, food production, agriculture, logistics or mixed workforce environment.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, modern awards and enterprise agreements.
- Practical experience supporting performance, conduct, attendance, grievance and workplace investigation matters.
- The confidence to coach leaders and respectfully challenge thinking when needed.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Sound judgement, discretion, resilience and an awareness of people and business risk.
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, Psychology or a related discipline,

or equivalent relevant experience.
- A current driver licence and the flexibility to travel as required.

Part of the broader Norco People & Culture team Although Raleigh will be your primary work location, this role is part of the broader Norco People & Culture team. Staying connected, sharing knowledge and building relationships across the team will be an important part of your success. The role will therefore require travel between the Raleigh site, the Labrador office and other local and regional Norco locations as business needs arise.
