Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

- Newly created Senior Project Manager role with a growing Tier 3 builder
- Portfolio-level exposure across delivery and preconstruction
- Hands-on role supporting Project Managers and Construction Managers
- Involvement from ECI / tender through to project delivery
- Genuine pathway into Construction Manager / Preconstruction Manager

The company is an established Tier 3 commercial builder with a solid reputation across the Melbourne market.

Operating with a lean, hands-on structure, the business has a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects and is now looking to strengthen the connection between its preconstruction and delivery teams.

The Role

This is not your typical Senior Project Manager position.

Rather than being allocated to one project, you will sit across the wider portfolio, working closely with the Construction Managers, Project Managers and Design Manager from ECI and preconstruction through to delivery.

You will remain hands-on and close to project delivery while taking on greater operational responsibility across the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee project reviews, troubleshooting and delivery support across the portfolio
- Support Project Managers across programme, procurement,



commercial risk and project performance
- Participate in ECI, tender reviews, buildability, methodology and value management
- Lead structured handovers from Estimating / Preconstruction into project delivery
- Mentor Project Managers while supporting the Construction Managers across broader operational requirements

The Ideal Candidate

- Experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager from a head contractor
- Strong Tier 3 project delivery experience
- Well-rounded exposure across programme, procurement, commercial and construction methodology
- Exposure to ECI, tenders or preconstruction highly regarded
- Ambitious to progress into broader construction leadership
