Genus Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner / Scheduler to join our Perth-based team and support the continued growth of our Western Australian operations.
This is a key senior role working across major power, energy and infrastructure projects throughout WA. You will influence how projects are planned and delivered, from early tender strategy and construction methodology through to project execution, progress reporting and completion.
You will work closely with project delivery, engineering and commercial teams, providing the planning expertise and strategic insight needed to support successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Provide planning support across tenders, pre-contract activities and live project delivery.
- Conduct critical-path analysis, earned-value reporting and delay-impact assessments.
- Integrate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities into project programs.
- Monitor progress, identify schedule risks and provide clear forecasting and recovery strategies.
- Support EOT and delay claims through forensic analysis and structured reporting.
- Work with project teams to develop practical construction sequencing and methodologies.
- Mentor junior planners and help strengthen planning systems and processes across the business.
About You
- At least 10 years’ planning and scheduling experience across construction, power, energy or infrastructure projects.
- Advanced Primavera P6 capability is essential.
- Strong knowledge of MS Project and Excel.
- Proven experience developing and managing detailed programs within D&C; environments.
- Sound understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, float, critical paths and project controls.
- Experience supporting tenders, delay analysis and EOT claims.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with operational leaders, clients and project stakeholders.
- A qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred.
- Electrical, transmission, distribution or utilities infrastructure experience will be highly regarded.
