About the role
As a Senior Embryologist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional Embryology and Andrology services that directly contribute to clinical outcomes and patient experience.
Based in our Sydney CBD laboratory, you will bring established senior-level experience, combining advanced technical expertise with a commitment to quality, collaboration and best-practice clinical standards. As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, contribute to continuous improvement and play an important role in maintaining a high-performing laboratory environment.
For the right candidate, there may also be opportunities to take on additional leadership responsibilities within the laboratory, alongside your senior clinical responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include
- Performing clinical embryology and andrology procedures, including IVF, ICSI, embryo culture and cryopreservation
- Performing embryo biopsy, where qualified and experienced
- Supporting high standards of laboratory quality, compliance and patient care
- Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to other embryologists
- Contributing to quality improvement and laboratory development initiatives
- Supporting the Laboratory Supervisor and broader laboratory team
Are you the ideal candidate? You are an experienced Senior Embryologist with established senior-level capability and a strong track record within clinical embryology. You bring confidence in your technical expertise, sound clinical judgement and a genuine commitment to supporting both patients and colleagues.
You will be someone who enjoys contributing beyond day-to-day clinical responsibilities, whether through mentoring, quality improvement, supporting laboratory standards or contributing to the broader development of the team.
Ideally, you will bring:
- A degree in Biological or Health Science; postgraduate qualifications desirable
- Minimum 5 years' experience in clinical human embryology, including demonstrated senior-level experience
- Strong expertise across IVF, ICSI, embryo culture, cryopreservation and andrology
- Embryo biopsy experience, preferred
- Strong understanding of ART legislation, RTAC Code of Practice and clinical protocols
- Excellent technical, communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to support and mentor other embryologists
- A commitment to quality, patient outcomes and continuous improvement
