A hands-on data-engineering role focused on delivering secure, scalable Snowflake data products within a regulated banking environment. The position emphasizes end-to-end ownership, cloud-native platforms, CI/CD, security, governance, performance, cost optimization, and collaboration with business and architecture stakeholders.

Role Purpose

Design, build, enhance, and support scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytical solutions on Snowflake. The role helps enable trusted, governed data for banking products, operations, risk, finance, customer analytics, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake databases, schemas, data models, and reusable data products
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python/Snowpark, dbt, Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and stored procedures
- Integrate data from enterprise source systems, APIs, cloud platforms, and third-party data sources
- Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Git-based version control and CI/CD practices
- Apply data-engineering practices for performance tuning, workload management, query optimization, and warehouse cost control
- Implement data security and governance controls, including role-based access control, masking policies, secure data sharing, auditing, and data-quality checks
- Partner with data architects, analysts, product owners, risk and compliance teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Support production incident resolution, root-cause analysis, monitoring, documentation, and continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, standards,



reusable patterns, and mentoring of junior engineers

Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong hands-on Snowflake development experience in an enterprise data environment
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations, performance tuning, stored procedures, and data modelling
- Experience building cloud-native data solutions on AWS and/or Azure
- Experience with ELT/ETL frameworks and tools such as dbt, Snowpark, Python, Airflow, or equivalent orchestration tools
- Practical experience with GitHub/Git, automated testing, and deployment pipelines
- Strong CI/CD and DevOps capability
- Experience with data governance, data quality, security, privacy, and access-control requirements
- Familiarity with Agile delivery, stakeholder management, and documenting technical designs
- Banking or financial-services experience, particularly where data handling, auditability, and regulatory controls are important

Desirable Skills
- Experience with AI-enabled analytics, automation, or data platforms supporting machine-learning workloads
- Knowledge of data observability, metadata management, lineage, and catalogue tooling
- Snowflake certification, such as SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced
- Experience with APIs, event-driven integration, and up-to-date data-platform architectures
