Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant is a full or part-time role responsible for managing complex tax engagements for individuals and businesses, including preparation and review of tax returns, BAS, and related compliance obligations.

Day-to-day tasks include interpreting and applying current tax legislation, reviewing financial statements for tax implications, identifying tax planning opportunities, and advising clients on strategies to optimize their tax position. The role involves collaborating with internal team members, guiding junior staff,



and maintaining accurate records within cloud-based accounting systems.

The successful candidate will also contribute to process improvements, ensure high-quality service delivery, and support clients with timely responses to tax queries and regulatory notices.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in tax-related disciplines, including Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and general Tax knowledge.
- Proficiency in Accounting and the preparation and analysis of Financial Statements.
- Professional qualifications in accounting or taxation (e.g., degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field; CA/CPA or working toward certification).
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software and digital workflows, ideally within public practice or a similar environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to explain technical concepts simply.
