Role Description The SEO Manager / SEM Manager / Search Marketing Manager will lead the planning, execution, optimization, and performance management of search marketing strategies designed to increase online visibility, qualified traffic, leads, conversions, and overall digital marketing performance. The role combines organic search optimization with paid search management and data-driven campaign improvement.

Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive SEO and SEM strategies aligned with business objectives, customer behavior, market opportunities, and digital growth targets. The role will conduct keyword research, search intent analysis, competitor research, market analysis, and performance assessments to identify opportunities for increased search visibility and customer acquisition.

The position will oversee on-page SEO activities, including content optimization, metadata, internal linking, website structure, landing pages, technical improvements, and search-friendly content development. The role will also support technical SEO initiatives involving crawlability, indexing, site performance, mobile usability, structured data, redirects, and other factors affecting organic search performance.

For paid search activities, the role will plan and optimize campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. Responsibilities may include keyword selection, campaign structure, ad copy development, bidding strategies, audience targeting, budget allocation, landing page optimization, and conversion tracking.

The Search Marketing Manager will monitor organic and paid search performance using analytics and marketing platforms. The role will analyze rankings, impressions, clicks, cost per click, conversion rates, return on advertising spend, organic traffic, paid traffic,



and other key performance indicators to identify optimization opportunities.

Additional responsibilities include managing search marketing budgets, preparing performance reports, coordinating with content and development teams, monitoring algorithm and platform changes, conducting A/B testing, and implementing strategies to improve campaign efficiency and return on investment.

The successful candidate should be analytical, strategic, commercially aware, and comfortable managing multiple search marketing activities. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for coordinating with marketing, content, technology, sales, and business teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of SEO, SEM, PPC, search engine marketing, keyword strategy, search intent, and digital customer acquisition.
- Strong knowledge of on-page SEO, technical SEO, off-page SEO, content optimization, website architecture, and internal linking.
- Familiarity with Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of paid search campaign structures, keyword match types, bidding strategies, ad relevance, quality scores, conversion tracking, and landing page optimization.
- Ability to conduct keyword research,



competitor analysis, search trend analysis, content gap analysis, and market opportunity research.
- Strong understanding of SEO performance indicators, including organic traffic, rankings, impressions, click-through rates, conversions, and visibility.
- Strong understanding of SEM metrics such as CPC, CPA, conversion rate, ROAS, impression share, and campaign profitability.
- Familiarity with SEO platforms such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, or equivalent tools.
- Ability to develop search marketing strategies, campaign plans, budgets, performance targets, and optimization roadmaps.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex search and advertising data.
- Ability to prepare search marketing reports, dashboards, forecasts, performance reviews, and actionable recommendations.
- Strong understanding of conversion optimization, landing-page performance, audience targeting, and customer acquisition funnels.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS platforms, and basic website development concepts is advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to explain search marketing strategies clearly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with content writers, developers, designers, sales teams, analytics specialists, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, projects, budgets, and priorities.
- Ability to monitor search engine algorithm updates, advertising platform changes, industry trends, and emerging search technologies.
- Strong commercial and data-driven mindset with a focus on measurable growth, efficiency, customer acquisition, and continuous optimization.
