Service Technician (Catering Equipment)

AJ Baker & Sons are a fourth generation, family-owned company, established in 1920 with branches throughout Australia. Located in WA, SA, NSW, VIC & QLD, we specialise in; supply, installation, service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning for supermarkets and other commercial businesses.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, suitably qualified and experienced Service Technician to join the Adelaide – Catering Serviceteam on a permanent fulltime basis.

As a Catering Equipment Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, installing and maintaining a wide range of commercial catering equipment across customer sites.

You will be responsible for:

- Servicing and repairing commercial catering equipment
- Fault-finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues
- Attending breakdown and service calls
- Carrying out preventative maintenance
- Installing and commissioning new equipment
- Completing accurate job reports and service documentation
- Communicating professionally with customers and keeping them informed
- Managing your own daily workload and prioritising urgent breakdowns
- Working as part of a supportive Service Team

To be a successful candidate, you will possess:

- Permanent rights to work in Australia
- SA Restricted Electrical Licence




- Gas or A Class Electrical Preferred
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Experience in diagnostics and fault finding
- Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous
- Experience working on electrical equipment in commercial kitchens is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong work ethic working unsupervised and part of a team
- Willingness to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening, if required.
