About the Opportunity

Xenco is partnering with a major mining operator to appoint aShutdown Planning & Execution Coordinator, to support the planning and execution of a major fixed plant shutdown overseas.

Working closely with the Maintenance Superintendent, Planning and Shutdown teams, Maintenance Supervisors and Project Engineers, you'll be part of the execution leadership team responsible for coordinating work fronts, contractors and site teams through the shutdown.

This is a hands-on execution role for someone who understands fixed plant maintenance, can coordinate multiple work groups in a fast-moving setting, and is comfortable being present in the field to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality.

What You’ll Do

- Provide technical and operational input into shutdown and contractor scope development
- Coordinate and supervise assigned shutdown work scopes across multiple work groups and contractors
- Participate in daily coordination meetings, shift handovers and execution planning activities
- Interface closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE and contractor teams to ensure effective integration of the shutdown plan
- Develop and implement job-specific safety plans and verify critical controls in the field




- Support incident and near-miss investigations and ensure corrective actions and learnings are followed through
- Develop and oversee quality assurance activities, including mechanical and E&I; inspections, job sign-off, defect elimination and documentation
- Support flange management activities and verification throughout the shutdown
- Review contractor safe work plans and risk assessments and participate in pre-shutdown job walks
- Support contractor mobilisation and onboarding, including equipment, PPE, tooling and compliance checks
- Monitor daily progress and provide updates to the shutdown scheduler and site leadership
- Coordinate job completion, handover and close-out activities, including documentation management

What You Bring

- Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance and shutdown execution within mining, minerals processing
- Good understanding of process plant equipment and unit operations
- Previous experience coordinating shutdown activities involving multiple work groups and contractors
- Experience working across mechanical and/or E&I; maintenance scopes
- Strong understanding of safety, risk management and quality requirements within a mining environment
- Ability to coordinate effectively across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE and contractor teams
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Previous overseas or international mining experience is advantageous
