Site & Project Engineers
FIFO ex Brisbane | DIDO | Central & Western Queensland Cooper McCullough Group (CMG) is continuing to grow, with a strong pipeline of civil infrastructure and mining projects across Central and Western Queensland.
We are seeking Site Engineers and Project Engineers to join our team and play a key role in delivering projects across Banana Shire, Maranoa and broader Central Queensland regions.
At CMG, we specialise in remote and regional civil construction, delivering road upgrades, stabilisation works, bridge construction, mine infrastructure, local government and TMR projects for a range of major clients and councils across Queensland.

About the Role
These positions will support the delivery of civil construction projects across our regional work fronts. Roles are available on a FIFO basis ex Brisbane or DIDO, depending on the project and candidate location.
Working closely with our Project Managers, Supervisors and site crews, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Project planning, scheduling and daily coordination of works
- Supporting Supervisors and crews with technical guidance
- Procurement and subcontractor coordination
- Cost control, forecasting and project reporting
- Quality assurance and compliance with client specifications
- Preparing and reviewing ITPs, SWMS and project documentation
- Stakeholder coordination with clients, councils and site personnel
- Supporting project delivery from mobilisation through to completion
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for motivated engineers who enjoy working in dynamic site environments and being part of hands-on project teams.
Ideally, you will have:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience in civil construction, infrastructure, roadworks or mining projects
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers, Supervisors and site crews
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of outcomes
