Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing software applications. The role will focus primarily on C#/.NET backend development, REST APIs, SQL databases, cloud-native technologies, and distributed systems, while also collaborating across frontend, QA, product, and architecture teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on software engineering experience, a solid understanding of modern application architecture, and the ability to contribute across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core/.NET 6 and ASP.NET Core.
- Develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and maintainable software using Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and established design patterns.
- Work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including database design, Entity Framework/EF Core, LINQ, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
- Implement event-driven and asynchronous processing patterns for distributed applications.
- Develop secure application workflows using OAuth2, JWT, Azure AD, authentication, and authorization.
- Build and integrate cloud-based services using AWS and/or Azure, including serverless and containerized workloads.
- Work with technologies such as AWS Lambda, ECS, EC2, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, or similar tools.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production applications, performing incident triage, root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and debugging.




- Implement and improve application observability using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, PagerDuty, and CloudWatch.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with appropriate unit and integration testing.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, and other development teams to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.
- Identify technical bottlenecks and continuously improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

- 8 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core.
- Solid experience developing ASP.NET Core Web APIs and RESTful services.
- Good understanding of microservices and distributed system architecture.
- Strong experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Entity Framework / EF Core, LINQ, and database performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, and Design Patterns.
- Experience developing secure APIs and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.




- Experience with Docker and containerized applications; Kubernetes experience is desirable.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of Git and modern branching strategies.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and working with observability/monitoring tools.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.

Desirable Skills

- Experience with event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, ECS, EC2, or similar cloud services.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
- Frontend development experience with Angular, React, Vue.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience working in FinTech, Healthcare, Banking, or other high-volume SaaS environments.
- Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Exposure to SRE practices, incident management, reliability engineering, and production operations.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership.

Education
