Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School is seeking applications from accomplished Humanities Teachers, preferably with experience teaching Ancient History at HSC level.
You will bring a wealth of pedagogical expertise, a proven track record in curriculum leadership, and a strong commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of our students and fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.
This fixed-term, full-time role is being offered to cover a staff member on leave for the duration of 2027.
The salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience, based on the teaching salaries outlined in the Independent Schools NSW Teachers Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 ($94,155-$133,009).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and innovative Humanities programs, with a focus on Ancient History for senior students.
- Inspire students through contemporary and future-focused learning experiences.
- Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and contribute to the ongoing development of teaching programs.
- Collaborate within a supportive and progressive team to achieve high-quality learning outcomes.
- Use data and reflective practice to support student growth and achievement.
- Promote an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers to strengthen understanding of PDHPE education.
Required Skills
- Exceptional proficiency in teaching HISE subjects, particularly Ancient History.
- Demonstrated understanding of syllabus documents, assessment strategies and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to drive student improvement through high expectations and innovation.
- You are an educator who:
- Embraces innovation and emerging techniques in education.
- Works collaboratively within a future-focused team.
- Leads or contributes to curriculum innovation with an awareness of industry trends and future learning pathways.
