Position: Systems Administrator

Our client Kisaan is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join their team in Shepparton, Victoria.
Kisaan is the trading name of Haryana Traders Pty Ltd, a dairy products manufacturer based in Shepparton, Victoria. Over the past two years the business has undergone significant expansion, diversifying beyond fresh milk into a full range of manufactured dairy lines - cheese, ghee, makhan and yoghurt, and commissioning a substantial amount of automated processing and packaging plant, including thermoforming and vacuum-packing machinery, a rotary cup-filling line, pasteurising equipment and steam/condensate systems. In parallel, Kisaan operates an e-commerce sales channel and a distribution network servicing customers through a distribution centre and a fleet of delivery vehicles.
The Systems Administrator supports approximately 30 employees across transport, warehousing, fresh-milk, cheese, ghee, makhan and yoghurt production, the distribution centre, marketing and administration. Approximately 20 computers, including PLCs, are currently in use across the site. The technology environment the role is responsible for includes:
1. office workstations, laptops, printers and email/file services used by administrative, marketing and management staff;
2. production-floor terminals and the PLC/HMI control interfaces on the automated processing and packaging lines;
3. warehouse, inventory and order-management systems supporting the distribution centre;
4. the Kisaan e-commerce platform and its payment and logistics integrations;
5. site networking, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity and cabling across the production and office areas;
6. data backup, antivirus and security systems; and
7. mobile devices used by delivery drivers and field staff.
The role interfaces with Kisaan's outsourced first-line support and call-centre providers, and with third-party hardware, software and equipment vendors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Systems and server administration
1. Install, configure, maintain and upgrade servers, workstations, operating systems and business software across the site.
2. Monitor system and server performance, undertake capacity planning, and tune systems to minimise downtime and maintain production continuity.
3. Manage software licensing, patching, version control and the deployment of new releases.
4. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and system faults, escalating to vendors where required.
Network administration
1. Administer and maintain the site network, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity and cabling, including connectivity for office, warehouse and production areas.
2. Maintain reliable network connectivity for the automated processing and packaging equipment and its control interfaces, working with equipment vendors as needed.
3. Monitor network availability and performance and respond to connectivity issues.
Security, backup and data protection
1. Implement and enforce IT security controls, including firewalls, antivirus, access management, user permissions and endpoint protection.
2. Configure, run and test data backups and recovery processes to safeguard business and customer data.
3. Apply security updates and monitor for vulnerabilities and threats across Kisaan's systems.
E-commerce and business systems support
1. Support the reliable operation of the Kisaan e-commerce platform and its integrations with payment, inventory and logistics systems.
2. Support warehouse,
inventory and order-management systems used by the distribution centre.
3. Assist with the integration of production, online-sales and distribution systems so that information flows correctly between them.
User support, training and provider coordination
1. Provide technical support to staff across production, distribution, marketing and administration, including onboarding recent users and setting up devices and accounts.
2. Deliver training and guidance to staff on IT systems, tools and security practices.
3. Coordinate with Kisaan's outsourced first-line support and call-centre providers and manage third-party hardware, software and equipment vendors.
Documentation and continuous improvement
1. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, standard operating procedures and asset records.
2. Identify and recommend improvements to Kisaan's IT systems, security and infrastructure to support ongoing business growth.
Requirements:
Essential
1. A relevant bachelor or higher qualification in information technology, software engineering, computer science or a related ICT field.
2. At least 12 months of relevant experience
3. Demonstrated ability to install, configure, administer and maintain computer systems, servers and networks.
4. Sound knowledge of IT security, data backup and recovery practices.
5. Strong fault-diagnosis and problem-solving skills across hardware, software and networks.
6. Good communication skills and the ability to support and train non-technical users.
7. Ability to work on site and provide continuity of support across a production and distribution setting.
Desirable
1. Experience supporting e-commerce platforms and their integrations.
2. Experience working in a manufacturing, food-production or logistics environment, including exposure to production-floor systems.
3. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. the Australian Computer Society).
