If you are dynamic and outgoing with a design or building products background and a flair for building relationships, then this role is for you.
Working in specification management, you will be responsible, through phone calls, emails and face-to-face appointments with architects and interior designers, to identify opportunities and provide support to specifiers. Using training provided, you will work collaboratively with team members to leverage experience and relationships to secure specifications for quality industry leading joinery systems.
You will spend your time 60% with customers face to face and 40% office based.
You will focus on projects that include bathroom joinery in commercial, educational, and public facilities.
You will be a critical asset on the team securing the future revenue of the company.
Job Requirements
Key skills and experience include:
- Prior experience and understanding of the architectural design or building products industry and related projects
- Specification securing experience is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience with joinery is desirable but not critical
- Comfortable working paperless with cloud-based IT systems.
- Ability to drive numbers and meet KPIs.
Additionally, you will be a commercially-savvy team player who is open minded and willing to learn and take on challenges. You will be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure. You will pro-actively identity key specifiers, and systematically secure relationships with them within a high performing team!
Your previous experience in a specification representative role will be considered but is not essential.
