Nurturing the Roots of Communication
How does a child's feeling of safety impact their willingness to explore language? What happens to therapy outcomes when we focus on strengthening the bond between a carer and their young person? How do we build meaningful communication out of shared joy, secure attachment, and authentic identity?
At Growing Voice, these questions drive everything we do. We look beyond basic milestone lists to see the relational foundations that allow a child to thrive. Due to organic growth, we are expanding our practice in Reservoir.
Our Vision & Core Culture
Growing Voice is a neurodivergence-affirming speech pathology practice, deeply committed to relationship-focused care. We integrate up-to-date speech-language therapy with relational frameworks like the Circle of Security to support children, adolescents, and their support networks from the ground up.
Our personal and professional lived experiences directly shape our workplace culture, ensuring our space is as supportive and affirming for our staff as it is for the families we serve.
The Growing Voice Approach
- An Attachment-Led Clinical Lens
We know that communication grows from connection. We don't fixate on compliance or rote tasks; we focus on mutual regulation, relational security, and building capacity within families.
- Deep, Reflective Supervision
Active supervision will be provided to the successful candidate. You will be supported to think deeply, analyze clinical dynamics through an attachment lens, and challenge traditional assumptions.
- Boutique Team Collaboration
You will be a valued member of a small team. You will work side-by-side with our Lead Speech Pathologist and our dedicated Allied Health Assistant (AHA). We will work dynamically, solve problems together, and celebrate wins as a close team.
- Prioritizing Caseload Health
High-quality relational therapy takes time and energy. We balance your schedule with protected, non-clinical hours for thorough planning, reflection, and collaborative discussions.
Diverse Scope, Relational Focus
Your regular week will involve:
- Guiding young people across neurodivergent profiles, speech, language, literacy, and multimodal communication (AAC).
- Delivering playful, child-led, and attachment-focused therapy that nurtures confidence and self-advocacy.
- Running holistic formal and informal communication assessments that value an individual's authentic voice.
- Partnering with parents and educators through a coaching model to build secure, communicative environments.
Our Reservoir Base
Our purpose-built, accessible clinical home is situated in a small shopping strip with cafes, lunch spots, parks and a train station nearby. It is a calm, welcoming environment that staff, children, and families look forward to visiting.
Who You Are An early career therapist, holding a recognised qualification in Speech Pathology, SPA eligibility, and with a heart and passion for lifelong learning. You value a neurodivergence-affirming, relationship-based approach and want to work in close partnership with a tight team of allied health professionals.
