I am a young man living with my foster family in Port Kennedy. I’m a gregarious person who loves animals, exploring the world around me and activities like bowling and mini-golf.

I am looking to add to my team of Support Workers, who assist me to get ready to attend school each weekday morning, ensure I can wind down after school in the afternoon and be ready to go out on adventures in my local community on Saturdays.

I’m looking to meet recent people who can help me live an active and fulfilling life – can this be you?

The right person will be somebody who is:

- Reliable, dependable and genuinely committed to learning about me and my support needs
- Has a bubbly personality, sense of humour and able to incorporate this into daily support
- Curious, calm, resilient and able to adapt to change, sometimes daily
- Passionate about person-centred support and helping people live their best lives.

Experience or knowledge in the following is highly valued:
- Communication tools such as iGaze or PODD Communication
- Enteral feeding and support for dysphagia
- Manual Handling and usage of a Hoist
- Complex Behaviour Support

About Me I have complex care needs. I communicate using an iGaze tool and receive all nutrition and hydration through an enteral feeding system. I also require the use of a Hoist to transfer to and from my wheelchair. I have a wicked sense of humour and love exploring new environments,



meeting new people and engaging in new activities that are thoughtful & considered.

Role Requirements

- Current driver’s licence and confidence driving my small van
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.
- Current First Aid completed within 3 years, or willingness to obtain one.
- Current Working with Children Clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to provide regular visiting support

The successful candidate/s will also be required to have completed or complete the following training;
- Infection Prevention & Control
- Manual Handling with Hoist
- Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals
- Bowel Care
- Enteral Feeding
