Knox Grammar School is a leading independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located in Wahroonga on Sydney's North Shore. ABOUT THE ROLE An opportunity has arisen at Knox Grammar School Senior Campus for a Permanent Full-Time TAS Teacher commencing Term 1, 2027. We are seeking a teacher with workshop skills and experience in Stage 6 Industrial Technology Timber and/or Metal, or a teacher with a strong workshop background and a willingness to develop their skills and teach these subjects.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and well-resourced TAS faculty, helping students develop creativity, practical skills and critical thinking capabilities that prepare them for the future.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant education qualifications including current NESA accreditation.
- Experience teaching Stage 6 Industrial Technology Timber and/or Metal.
- An understanding of Design Thinking, Systems Thinking and Computational Thinking.
- The ability to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences that support students of varying abilities to achieve strong learning outcomes.
- Experience in the design, development and administration of both formative and summative assessment tasks.
- Effective classroom management strategies that support positive engagement and student success.
- A collaborative approach and a willingness to contribute positively to a collegial department with high expectations of both staff and students.
- A commitment to continuous professional growth and excellence in teaching practice.
