Kalgoorlie Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Teachers have plenty of choices. So why Kalgoorlie Primary School? Because this is a school where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

Walk through our classrooms and you'll find enthusiastic students, dedicated staff and a team that backs one another. You'll find experienced teachers sharing ideas, graduate teachers building confidence and leaders who are visible, approachable and invested in helping staff succeed. Most importantly, you'll find a school that has clarity of focus. We are here to educate.

With strong whole school alignment and a high quality curriculum already in place, teachers can focus less on creating programmes from scratch and more on delivering engaging lessons and responding to the needs of their students.

We're proud of our culture, the way staff support one another and the opportunities we provide students. Our results prove that location is no barrier to a quality education. We’re especially proud of the reputation we've built as a school where teachers can do their best work.

Whether you're a graduate teacher looking to kickstart your career or an experienced educator ready for a new challenge, you'll find opportunities here that can be difficult to access elsewhere. In a school our size, teachers have genuine opportunities to lead, contribute to whole school initiatives and develop professionally while being supported every step of the way.

Of course, choosing a school isn't just about the job. It's about the people you'll work with and the life you'll build. Kalgoorlie has a way of surprising people. Many arrive expecting a short stay. Instead, they find a welcoming community, strong friendships and a lifestyle that offers more balance and opportunity than they imagined.

The commute is short. The community is connected. The opportunities are endless.

The Role

Kalgoorlie PS is seeking passionate and dedicated teachers who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of students. We are looking for educators who build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues, and who contribute positively to our welcoming and cooperative school culture.

Our staff share a commitment to high quality teaching, continuous improvement and the success of every student. Through strong teamwork, connected whole school practices and ongoing professional learning, we create an environment where teachers are supported to grow, lead and thrive.

We value educators who embrace evidence informed practice, reflect on their teaching and are committed to providing engaging and inclusive learning experiences that support every student to achieve their potential.

We're looking for teachers who are passionate about making a difference, committed to high quality teaching and excited by the prospect of joining a school with a strong sense of purpose and direction. Our teachers will ideally work well in a team and be willing to seek feedback to grow as educators.

If you are excited by the opportunity to join a school with a strong sense of purpose, supportive colleagues and a focus on achieving the best outcomes for students, we would love to hear from you.
