THE IMPACT YOU WILL DRIVE AT THE SACE BOARD
As the Technical Operations Manager, you will lead the Service Desk and Infrastructure teams in the delivery of secure, reliable and customer-focused ICT services across the SACE Board. Reporting to the Senior Manager, ICT, you will provide leadership of the Service Desk and Infrastructure teams, ensuring high-quality technology services that support business operations and organisational priorities.
You will be responsible for maintaining the performance, resilience and security of the SACE Board's infrastructure, cloud, networking and end-user computing services. You will drive continuous improvement, strengthen service management practices, manage vendor relationships and provide expert advice to support informed decision-making across the organisation.
This role is critical in ensuring technology services continue to meet the evolving needs of the SACE Board while contributing to operational excellence, business continuity and digital capability uplift.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing ICT teams, fostering accountability,
collaboration and service excellence.
Demonstrated experience leading ICT service delivery, operational functions and technology initiatives within complex environments.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, innovation and service optimisation to improve organisational outcomes and user experience.
Demonstrated experience managing enterprise infrastructure, cloud and end user computing services, including Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and technical advice, translating complex ICT issues into business-focused outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in ICT governance, risk management and service management practices.
Strong organisational, planning and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Some out-of-hours work and intrastate travel may be required.
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check in accordance with SACE Board policy.
The role is governed under the SACE Board of South Australia Act 1983.

Remuneration
ASO7 $116,089 - $125,490.
This is a term vacancy for 12 months with the possibility of extension
