Company Description Hunter Transformers Pty Ltd is a locally based manufacturer and distributor of transformers and integrated kiosk solutions located in Yennora in the Greater Sydney Area, NSW, Australia. The company designs and delivers products up to 330kV, with a strong focus on 33kV solutions for renewable energy projects.

Transformers offers ONAN, ANAN, resin cast, and enhanced protected transformers with some of the fastest lead times in the industry. The team is experienced in supplying transformers and associated MV/HV products for clean energy projects and key Australian industries, including defence, mining, rail and road infrastructure, and electrical distribution.

Role Description The Technical Project Manager is a full time, on-site role based in the Greater Sydney Area, responsible for overseeing end-to-end delivery of transformer and kiosk projects from concept through commissioning. This role coordinates project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, ensuring technical requirements, safety standards, and customer specifications are met.

The Technical Project

Manager collaborates closely with engineering, production, procurement, and quality teams, while maintaining clear communication with customers and external partners. Daily activities include monitoring project progress, managing risks and issues, preparing documentation and reports,



and driving continuous improvement in project execution. The role also involves supporting bids and proposals by contributing technical input, cost estimates, and realistic timelines.

Qualifications

- Strong Project Management and Program Management capabilities to manage multiple technical projects and deliverables.
- Demonstrated Team Leadership and stakeholder management skills to guide cross-functional teams and foster collaboration.
- Robust Analytical Skills for interpreting technical data, assessing risks, and optimizing project plans.
- Effective Communication skills for engaging with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, both verbally and in writing.
- Relevant experience in electrical engineering, power systems, or related fields, preferably within transformers, MV/HV equipment, or industrial projects.
- Understanding of safety, compliance, and quality standards applicable to manufacturing and electrical distribution projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with project management tools and MS Office; familiarity with ERP or manufacturing systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to evolving customer and project needs.
