- Mission for the Role The Technical Project Manager (AUS) supports customers throughout the fleet electrification lifecycle, combining EV charging infrastructure expertise with delivery of the client’s Charge Management System (CMS).

The role provides technical leadership from early planning and concept development through infrastructure implementation, system onboarding and operational handover. As a trusted subject matter expert, it advises on charging infrastructure and technology selection, electrical and communications requirements, site concept design, and depot and grid upgrades. It also supports tender evaluation and technical assessments, coordinates stakeholder and design-review workshops, reviews contractor designs and technical submissions, and identifies technical risks, gaps and constructability issues early.

Following installation and commissioning, the role leads the transition to the client by onboarding chargers and supporting site equipment, validating configurations and integrations, coordinating end-to-end testing and operational readiness, and guiding customers through training, process change and CMS adoption.

Throughout the lifecycle, the Technical Project Manager keeps projects commercially and operationally on track by coordinating customers, contractors, OEMs and internal teams; overseeing equipment commissioning and integration; and ensuring testing, documentation, compliance and handover requirements meet the required standard. The role also provides technical support for complex issues, contributes delivery expertise to bids and product discussions, develops capable local implementation partners, and applies project learnings to strengthen future delivery, customer onboarding and support.

- Experience Required

- Experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects in the electric vehicle charging or energy sector, including design development, tender evaluation, contractor design review, technical documentation and commissioning.
- University degree in engineering, such as electrical, electronic, control systems, telecommunications or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting across electrical, communications and networking, software and control-system disciplines.
- Experience using control systems or energy management systems for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Experience building client rapport, acting as a trusted source of solutions and providing strong customer service.
- Experience managing project delivery, including milestones, budgets, contract scope, resources, risks, reporting and operational handover.

- Responsibilities and Tasks





- Provide technical expertise across fleet electrification projects, covering EV charging infrastructure, electrical distribution, communications, networking, control systems, metering and grid/depot upgrades.
- Lead technical design, cost estimation, infrastructure and charger selection, value engineering, technical assurance, tender evaluation and contractor design reviews throughout EPC delivery.
- Own commissioning and operational handover, including chargers, meters, local controllers, networking equipment, system integration, testing and documentation.
- Lead customer onboarding and CMS change management, including readiness, training, stakeholder communication and adoption.
- Manage project delivery, including scope, milestones, budgets, resources, invoicing, timelines and coordination across customers, contractors, OEMs, design teams and internal stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, provide Level 2 support, coordinate with vendors/OEMs, and ensure regulatory, electrical and safety compliance.
- Train and manage third-party installation and commissioning partners and build relationships across the delivery ecosystem.
- Collaborate with Software, Product and Customer Success teams to align deployments with product capabilities and contribute field insights to the roadmap.
- Develop and manage technical documentation, support bids and proposals, and facilitate design reviews, client meetings, and technical risk management.
- Train customer teams, strengthen long-term operational capability, and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and process enhancements.

Requirements
