About the role

New England Towing is seeking a professional and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our growing team in Armidale NSW. This is a part time or full-time position that plays a critical role in our operations, providing essential roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services to our clients across the region. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be the face of our company, delivering reliable and safe towing services whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer care.

Your work will directly contribute to the safety and satisfaction of our clients during their times of need.

What you'll be doing

- Operating tow trucks safely and efficiently to recover and transport vehicles from accident sites, breakdowns and other locations
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition
- Responding promptly to dispatch calls and attending to jobs with professionalism and urgency
- Securing vehicles properly using appropriate towing techniques and equipment to prevent damage
- Communicating clearly with customers, providing updates and explaining services in a courteous manner
- Maintaining detailed records of jobs completed, including mileage, times and any incidents
- Following all road safety regulations, traffic laws and company policies at all times
- Providing assistance to stranded motorists, including minor roadside repairs where applicable
- Maintaining the tow truck and associated equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety

What we're looking for

- A current, valid MR license or higher
- Be able to obtain Tow Truck Driver License
- Be able to do 2 away trips per week to Brisbane or Sydney
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and transport compliance requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure




- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual tasks, including heavy lifting and equipment operation
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills to diagnose common vehicle issues
