An opportunity exists to join our Clear Cut Lawn Mowing and Maintenance Service as a Support Worker, where you’ll be working within Western Victoria's largest garden maintenance team, supporting people with disability to participate in meaningful, hands-on work while building their confidence, independence and workplace skills. Working alongside our Social Enterprises team, you’ll provide practical guidance, encouragement and on-the-job support as participants take part in the day-to-day activities of Clear Cut, including mowing services and general garden maintenance. You’ll help create a safe, inclusive and positive work environment where every participant is supported to contribute, develop their skills and achieve their individual goals.

This is a casual position primarily supporting the team during periods of leave and increased operational need. We understand that flexibility works both ways,

Ideally a Support Worker will have previous work experience in a similar role, with the ability to work with people of all abilities and a dynamic and energetic personality that fits within our supportive, team-driven culture. High level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with solid administration and time management skills. In addition, you will be able to exercise initiative and creativity in achieving desired outcomes. Given the hands-on nature of the role, you’ll also need to be comfortable using a range of lawn maintenance machinery and equipment, or have the ability and willingness to learn. This may include lawn mowers, whipper snippers, blowers and other garden maintenance equipment. You’ll be expected to use equipment safely and responsibly, follow relevant procedures and support participants to develop safe work practices and confidence in using machinery where appropriate.
