About the role
As a Shift Supervisor (Stadiums), you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy stadium facility, ensuring a safe, productive, and customer focused environment for staff, patrons, and community groups. You will lead frontline teams, coordinate daily operations, supervise staff, maintain compliance with health and safety standards, and respond proactively to operational issues.

Classification: Band 4 $44.35 p/h (inc casual loading)
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare, set up and pack down the venue and associated facilities prior to and post bookings and events, to ensure a seamless transition between activities within the venue.
- Supervise the daily operations of the stadium facility, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and organisational procedures.
- Lead, support, and coordinate staff throughout each shift, including delegating tasks, managing breaks, assisting with rostering, and mentoring team members.
- Resolve customer enquiries, complaints, and operational issues professionally while fostering positive relationships with patrons, contractors, schools, sporting clubs, and community groups.
- Perform operational administration including cash handling, register balancing, facility bookings, reporting, and supporting promotions, memberships, and centre events.
- Act as Chief Warden (where applicable) and maintain a safe workplace by ensuring compliance with OH&S; requirements, emergency procedures, and risk management practices.
About you
To be successful in this role, you are a motivated and customer-focused leader with experience supervising teams in a leisure and recreation setting. You thrive in a fast-paced setting, confidently balancing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and operational excellence. With strong communication and problem-solving skills, you build positive relationships with staff, patrons, and community stakeholders. You are proactive, adaptable, and committed to developing others while ensuring facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards. You are comfortable working across rotating rosters, including evenings and weekends.
Essential Experience:
- Extensive cash handling experience.
- Provide First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
- Working with Children Check.
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
