The Principal Project Officer leads critical work to review and enhance housing and homelessness governance arrangements in-line with the rapid progress of First Peoples self-determination across Government. The position leads complex project management, engagement and negotiation with the First Peoples housing and homelessness sector to maintain and grow relationships while delivering outcomes of Mana-na woorn-tyeen maar-takoort: Every Aboriginal Person has a Home, The Victorian Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness Framework.
You will be part of a small, energetic team which monitors, reviews, enhances and drives partnerships and drives contemporary fit for purpose partnerships and governance arrangements. You will have demonstrable experience working within complex governance environments to progress self-determination, including leading engagement with senior stakeholders within and external to Government.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Contribute advanced expertise and knowledge of First Peoples governance and partnership arrangements to benefit strategic planning and organisation/sector-wide outcomes.
- Provide leadership and guidance based on advanced expertise to effectively lead senior stakeholder engagement externally and across DFFH and broader Government.
- Respond effectively to deliver solutions and within a complex environment of enabling self-determination across the housing and homelessness sectors
