Terra Regenerators has operated for 25 years delivering bushland management services to local city councils, Brisbane (Southside) and Redlands. Regeneration and rehabilitation services delivered cover a wide range of habitats, both terrestrial and aquatic. What you will do as part of the Terra team
You will be part of a close-knit, energetic team who deliver services including; vegetation management - herbicide application (via backpack, high volume tank sprayer, cut/paste, tree injection and ATV), vegetation removal (via brush cutters, hedge trimmers and manual tools), tree planting, abseil work and tree felling. For this reason, an ACDC (herbicide spraying) licence and chainsaw ticket are desirable but not essential as we can provide training/course attendance for the successful applicant.
What your day will look like
Working as part of the Terra team means your day will begin at 5am – 6am dependent on the season, 8 hours a day, five days a week. Our days begin as a team, on site with Pre-start meetings to communicate clearly what the tasks are and to prepare for the work ahead. Work is then completed in small teams.
Salary/Wages
A competitive hourly rate is negotiable based on previous experience and qualifications and is paid fortnightly.
Skills/requirements
Healthy, fit body for working outdoors.
Ability to work as part of a team with positive communication, including asking questions or for guidance in your new role.
Ability to work independently when required.
Adhere to safety requirements and wearing of PPE.
Time management skills to complete scheduled work in allotted time.
ACDC licence and Chainsaw ticket are not required but is an advantage.
Permanent residency status or Australian citizenship required.
Some outdoor work experience is required for this position.
