This position offers genuine flexibility and does not require you to be based near the organisation’s Penrith office. You can work remotely from anywhere across Sydney, managing a varied caseload while remaining connected to an experienced and supportive team. It is an ideal prospect for a Psychologist looking for greater autonomy and variety without moving into a purely clinical or purely rehabilitation-focused position.
About the role:
- Provide psychological treatment – Deliver evidence-based counselling and psychological intervention to clients experiencing psychological injuries, adjustment difficulties, stress and other barriers to recovery.
- Manage rehabilitation cases – Support clients through their recovery and return-to-work journey, developing practical strategies to achieve sustainable vocational outcomes.
- Conduct assessments – Complete psychological, vocational and rehabilitation assessments to identify barriers, strengths and appropriate treatment or recovery pathways.
- Develop treatment plans – Create individualised intervention plans aligned with each client’s psychological, functional and vocational goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders – Liaise with treating doctors, employers, insurers,
rehabilitation consultants and other health professionals to coordinate effective recovery plans.
- Participate in case conferences – Provide psychological insight and recommendations during multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.

About you:
- General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Strong communication, counselling and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence working independently and managing your own workload remotely.
- An interest in combining psychological treatment with occupational rehabilitation and return-to-work services.
- Experience within workplace rehabilitation, psychological injury, workers compensation or insurance environments will be highly regarded.
