Serve with purpose. Grow through community.
Our Community team makes a visible difference every day. You work with purpose and empathy, helping people feel safe, supported and connected. As a Community Facilities Officer - Venue Bookings, you help residents, community groups and local organisations access the spaces they need to meet, celebrate, learn and connect.
You are a key point of contact for venue enquiries and bookings. You answer phone and counter enquiries, help customers choose the most suitable venue, process bookings and payments, maintain booking records and respond to customer requests and complaints. You work closely with internal teams and community members to ensure bookings run smoothly and facilities remain accessible and well utilised.
Community facilities are important gathering places across Blacktown City. They provide access to services, activities and opportunities that bring people together. Your work supports local groups, families, seniors, women, people with disability, children, young people and culturally diverse communities by helping them access welcoming and inclusive spaces.
Council provides stable and secure employment with practical perks that support work and life balance. Through training, mentoring and daily interaction with a diverse community, you continue to build your customer service, administration and community engagement skills.
You thrive in a busy customer focused environment and take pride in providing responsive, professional service. You bring experience managing enquiries, using computer systems and delivering positive outcomes for customers while helping community facilities remain active, accessible and connected to the people they serve.
At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:
- a secure, permanent, full-time role with one of Australia's largest councils
- an entry level salary commencing at $1,468.72 per week
- a 35-hour working week
- access to Council's flextime arrangement
- 12% superannuation and competitive leave entitlements
- ongoing training and development support
- access to Fitness Passport, social clubs and wellbeing programs.
