Qualified expertise. Personal purpose
Our Asset Planning and Support team turns vision into reality, delivering the infrastructure and public spaces that shape how people live, move and connect. This is work with scale and impact, supported by a collaborative culture, professional growth opportunities and the stability to build both your career and your legacy.
Help shape the future of Water Sensitive Urban Design across 1 of Australia's largest and fastest growing councils. You spend much of your time in the field inspecting wetlands, bioretention systems, stormwater treatment assets and other Water Sensitive Urban Design infrastructure. You assess asset condition, identify defects, record asset data and support decisions that improve how these assets perform for the environment and the community.
Working closely with the Asset Engineer and operational teams, you undertake risk and condition assessments, maintain the accuracy of Council's asset registers and help track compliance with asset establishment and handover processes. You review asset information, contribute to maintenance planning, support renewal forecasting and provide recommendations that improve asset performance and reliability.
You join a supportive team and work across a diverse range of assets while building your technical knowledge and experience. Flexible working arrangements help you balance work and personal commitments,
while the scale and stability of local government provide the opportunity to grow your career with confidence.
If you have experience with Water Sensitive Urban Design, stormwater or civil infrastructure assets and enjoy a mix of field work, problem solving and collaboration, we'd love to hear from you.
At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:
- a term contract, full time role for up to 3 years with one of Australia's largest councils
- an entry level salary commencing at $1,750.90 per week, plus an additional 10.32% per week as per Council’s flexibility agreement
- a 41-hour working week
- a Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
- 12% superannuation and competitive leave entitlements
- ongoing training and development support
- access to Fitness Passport, social clubs and wellbeing programs.
