Lead, Support & Deliver Outstanding Patient Care!
Join Bayside Health Service as a casual Clinical Nurse and provide advanced clinical care and leadership across the Primary Care Centre and Pandanus Ward. Working across Bayside Health Service sites, you’ll use your expertise in urgent care, triage, advanced assessment and clinical decision-making to support patients with complex needs.
Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse, you'll provide advanced, person-centred nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and complex healthcare needs, while providing clinical leadership across the healthcare team. Based at Wynnum-Manly Community Health Centre (Gundu Pa), this casual role offers the opportunity to work across Bayside Health Service and contribute to a range of clinical, education, quality and leadership initiatives.
- Provide advanced assessment, clinical decision-making and comprehensive care for urgent and complex presentations.
- Apply your expertise in triage, Advanced Life Support and contemporary nursing practice to support protected patient outcomes.
- Provide clinical leadership, delegation, mentoring and support to nursing and multidisciplinary team members.
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits, education, research and implementation of practice improvements.
- Coordinate care and resources effectively while supporting a positive, collaborative and patient-centred workplace culture.
About you:
We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who brings advanced clinical knowledge, sound judgement and a strong commitment to person-centred care.
You'll be confident working autonomously in complex and urgent clinical situations and have the leadership skills to support and guide others.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in urgent care and triage using the Australian Triage Scale.
- Advanced Life Support and Paediatric Life Support knowledge and capabilities.
- Solid clinical leadership, delegation, communication and team-building skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development and quality improvement.

Bayside Health Service encompasses five public health campuses being Redland Hospital at Cleveland, Marie Rose Centre at Dunwich North Stradbroke Island, Wynnum Manly Community Health Centre “Gundu Pa”, Pandanus Ward at Casuarina Lodge, Wynnum Manly and the Redlands Satellite Health Centre “Talwalpin Milbul” at Redland Bay.
Bayside Health Service provides services within the hospital and community setting such as Emergency Care, Primary Health and Minor Injury Care, Acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
