We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team.
About the Role
As our Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards, and supporting business growth through accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll legislation.
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and other statutory obligations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Monitor company expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and government agencies.
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks).
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation and financial regulations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards one) is highly regarded.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Experience using Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
