About the Opportunity

As Tenancy Officer you are responsible for the administration of transitional accommodation and community housing tenancies while supporting residents to develop the skills needed for successful independent living.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting people experiencing housing instability while ensuring safe, well-maintained accommodation and positive tenancy outcomes

You will:

- Conduct property inspections and complete Property Condition Reports
- Coordinate maintenance and contractor engagement
- Support residents to understand tenancy rights and responsibilities
- Manage tenancy documentation and resident records
- Schedule tenancy-related activities and inspections
- Respond to resident enquiries and supporting positive tenancy outcomes

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Qualifications in Community Services, Administration or a related field




- At least 2 to 3 years' experience working with vulnerable individuals and families in community-based settings
- Knowledge of the housing and homelessness sector
- Experience in tenancy management processes and understanding of tenancy legislation, rights and responsibilities
- The ability to work professionally, maintain boundaries and make sound decisions in complex situations
- A commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice, particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally diverse communities.
