Join Our Team

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Trades Assistant to join our workshop and site team.

We are offering a casual position to start, with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment for the right person.

This is a hands-on position working alongside qualified tradespersons, assisting with sheet metal fabrication, assembly, installation, repairs and general workshop duties.

The role will suit someone who enjoys practical work, is mechanically minded and is keen to learn and develop their skills within the trade.

About the role

Duties will include:

- Assisting tradespersons with fabrication, assembly and installation

- Measuring, cutting, grinding and finishing materials

- Using hand and power tools





- Assisting with welding and mechanical work

- Loading, moving and positioning equipment

- Maintaining tools, equipment and workshop areas

- Assisting on customer and project sites

- Following company safety and quality requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual and hardworking

- Mechanically minded and practical

- Willing to learn and take direction

- Able to work well as part of a team

- Safety-conscious with good attention to detail

- Adaptable and willing to work both in the workshop and on site

Previous sheet metal, fabrication or HVAC experience is highly regarded but not essential.

Requirements

- Current Manual Driver’s Licence – essential

- Forklift Licence – highly regarded

- Working at Heights / Confined Space – highly regarded

- Willingness to travel to project sites and stay overnight when required

A current manual driver’s licence is essential for this position as the role involves driving company vehicles to workshop and project sites.
