In this role, you'll:

Support the delivery of road safety outcomes, contribute to safer network solutions, and play a key role in supporting programs and investigations that improve safety across local communities.

You’ll work closely with councils, communities and stakeholders to ensure safety considerations are embedded in transport planning and precinct outcomes.

- Assist with planning and developing network solutions to address road safety, operational and asset performance issues.
- Support development of safety solutions that enhance customer outcomes and address community risks.
- Provide regional support for Local Traffic Forums and safety programs, including behavioural road safety and active/public transport initiatives.
- Support early stage speed zone reviews, from triage through preliminary review and handover.
- Respond to minor safety queries from external stakeholders in a timely, customer focused way.
- Coordinate with Transport programs, stakeholders and community partners to deliver effective safety outcomes.

About you

- Knowledge of road safety principles, including the Safe System approach.
- Experience contributing to investigations, assessments or reviews with robust analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
- Solid organisational and problem solving skills.
