We’re looking for an experienced SQL DBA to join an Enterprise business on an initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension. It would suit someone who's immediately available (or has a very short notice period, i.e. 1 week).

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the performance, availability, security and ongoing management of SQL Server environments, particularly within Azure. This is an in-flight project focused on migrating data from multiple sources into a single source of truth. You’ll be comfortable working with large datasets and have strong experience across ETL, data migration, complex SQL queries, performance tuning, security and monitoring.

Key Requirements

- Solid SQL Server / DBA experience
- Proven Azure experience
- Database administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Backup, recovery and high-availability experience
- Strong understanding of database security and monitoring
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running

Contract: 3 months initially
Location: Sydney
Rate: $930/day inc. Super
