Job Description

Stuart Park Neighbourhood Child Care Centre (SPCCC) is a community-based education and care service for families with children aged from six months to five years. We are committed to providing high-quality service and have been an integral part of the Stuart Park community for 35 years. We also have strong ties with other services that can assist families and children. We are committed to developing a caring and compassionate workplace. We support children to explore the world around them, and we nurture their natural curiosity using play-based learning.

Description: Provide education, care, and supervision for children aged 0–5 years, plan and deliver age-appropriate learning experiences, and support children’s learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and development.
- Foster positive behaviour and supportive learning environments.
- Contribute to programming, learning stories, and critical reflections.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Skill & Experience

Selection Criteria:

- Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Bachelor’s degree or higher and have at least one year of relevant full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience or at least five years of relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong teamwork and time-management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education and development.
- Ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences for children.
