Ungooroo Aboriginal Corporation is seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate and experienced Speech Pathologists who are interested in joining our growing allied health team. As we continue to expand our services for children and families across our communities, we are looking to connect with clinicians who are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a supportive, multidisciplinary workplace.
We are interested in hearing from clinicians seeking full-time, part-time, casual or subcontracting opportunities. Although this is a non-identified position, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the Role
Depending on your profession and experience, responsibilities may include:
- Assessing children and young people to identify developmental, communication, sensory, motor or functional needs
- Developing and delivering individualised, evidence-based therapy programs
- Providing early intervention and family-centred supports
- Working collaboratively with parents, carers, educators and other health professionals
- Supporting children to achieve meaningful outcomes at home, school and within their community
- Preparing clinical documentation, reports and recommendations
- Maintaining accurate client records in accordance with professional and legislative requirements
- Participating in multidisciplinary case discussions and service planning

- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Demonstrates professionalism, initiative and sound clinical judgement
- Is committed to culturally safe and respectful practice
Qualifications & Experience
Speech Pathologists
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
All Applicants
- Current Driver Licence
- Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- National Criminal History Check (or willing to obtain)
- Professional Indemnity Insurance (if applicable)
- Medicare Provider Number, or eligibility to obtain one (highly regarded)
- Experience working with children and families is essential
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, or a demonstrated commitment to culturally safe practice, will be highly regarded – I wonder if this should read a demonstrated commitment to culturally safe practice, and under desirable should be experience working with?
