What success looks like in this role:
As an Application Analyst - Mobility & Airport Technology Systems, you'll support the technology behind the Unisys Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS), helping airlines keep baggage operations running smoothly. Working across SOTI-managed Android devices, Windows infrastructure, application support, software testing, and operational support, you'll troubleshoot complex issues, support critical systems, and help ensure airport services remain available, secure, and performing to demanding service levels, while building specialist expertise in a unique airport technology workplace.
In this role, you will:
- Own and support the SOTI Mobile Device Management environment and Zebra Android scanner fleet.
- Manage device lifecycle activities, software deployment, upgrades, and platform maintenance.
- Support Windows Hyper-V server environments including replication, backups, security patching, domain administration, and troubleshooting.
- Plan, create, execute, and track testing activities for software releases and patches.
- Investigate system issues, analyse customer problems, and provide effective resolutions.
- Develop expertise in the Unisys Baggage Reconciliation System and associated scanning technologies.
- Support messaging gateway and message queue technologies that underpin the solution.
- Act as an initial point of contact for operational issues and service requests.
- Collaborate with airline clients, ground handlers, project teams, and third-party providers.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call support roster to help maintain service continuity.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Experience supporting enterprise mobility environments, ideally within managed services, software support,
or operational technology environments.
- Hands-on experience with SOTI Mobile Device Manager (MDM).
- Strong knowledge of Android operating systems and mobile device lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Hyper-V environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting business-critical systems within defined SLAs.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience working with software deployments, upgrades, patching, and testing activities.
- General IT qualifications and a current driver's licence.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Airside Security Pass and successfully complete police and reference checks.
Highly Regarded
- Microsoft Intune administration.
- Google Admin experience.
- iOS device management and support.
- Experience supporting large-scale software solutions.
- Business analysis, end-user training, database administration, UNIX, or programming experience.
