Alu Glass Kalgoorlie is seeking an experienced Glazing Manager to join our team.
This is a hands-on management position suited to an experienced glazier looking to take the next step in their career. The role combines office-based quoting and job coordination with hands-on glazing work in the field.
The position offers a wide variety of work, from residential reglazing through to commercial shopfronts and remote projects throughout the Goldfields.
The Role
The Glazing Manager will work across both the office and field, taking responsibility for quoting and coordinating glazing works while also being involved in more complex glazing and installation jobs.
You will assist with the day-to-day management of a team of approximately 2–3 glaziers, including allocating jobs, providing technical support and helping ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
The role will generally include:
- Quoting residential, commercial and project glazing works
- Site measuring and assessing glazing requirements
- Allocating and coordinating work for the glazing team
- Providing technical direction and support to glaziers
- Commercial shopfront glazing and installation
- Residential and commercial reglazing
- Assisting with quality control and resolving technical issues on site
- Travelling to remote locations throughout the Goldfields when required
About You
We are looking for someone with strong practical glazing experience who is also comfortable taking responsibility for jobs and helping lead a small team.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Extensive experience as a qualified or highly experienced glazier
- Experience across a broad range of residential and commercial glazing
- Experience with commercial shopfronts and aluminium framing
- The ability to measure and quote glazing works accurately
- The confidence to supervise and provide direction to other glaziers
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A current driver's licence
Previous supervisory, leading-hand or management experience would be highly regarded, although we would also consider an experienced senior glazier who is ready to move into a management position.
The Position
This is not a purely office-based management role.
We are looking for someone who enjoys remaining hands-on in the trade while taking on greater responsibility for quoting, coordinating jobs and assisting with the management of the glazing team.
The role will provide a valuable balance between time in the office and time in the field, including involvement in more challenging glazing jobs.
Some remote travel will be required, with Alu Glass completing work throughout Kalgoorlie and the wider Goldfields region.
